Some retreats at the Lodestar Mountain Inn are more than getaways; they become beautiful memories that stay with us long after the last note is played or the final jar of apple butter is filled. Last month, we were blessed to host two unforgettable weekends brimming with fellowship, laughter, worship, and the joy of being together. Our Hymn Sing Getaway brought 15 weekend guests together with Howard Russell, his wife, and their son. Howard led a delightful session of singing the hymns of our faith, and the gathering grew even sweeter on Saturday evening as 30 extra guests joined us for dinner and the hymn sing. Nearly 75 people, including Lodestar Gap Year students and staff, filled the evening with their voices raised in song. It was a special reminder of the power of music, fellowship, and the timeless truths in the songs we cherish.

The next weekend, our Apple Butter Getaway welcomed 23 overnight guests and eight additional daytime attendees for an unforgettable experience filled with learning, laughter, and autumn fellowship. Together, guests enjoyed the beauty of the season and the simple joy of crafting apple butter – a tradition that brings people together and creates lasting memories. The warmth of the gathering and the friendships formed along the way made the weekend a delightful celebration of community and the blessings of shared moments. We are grateful to everyone who joined us and to the Lord for His goodness in turning these weekends into such meaningful experiences. These moments make Lodestar special, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming you for many more!
