From Franklin, WV
Follow US 220 N (for 12.0 miles) and turn left before you cross the South Branch Potomac River onto Smoke Hole Road, WV Route 2.*
After the left turn onto WV Route 2, Smoke Hole Road, continue along the river (5.3 miles) until you come to Shreve’s Store on your left.
Turn left at Shreve’s Store. Traveling up the hill there will be a group of campers on your right. Take the first road right, over a small bridge, approximately 1/2 mile from Shreve’s Store, to continue on Smoke Hole Road.
Go 1.1 miles and turn left when you see the Lodestar Mountain Inn sign at Weaver Land Road. If you pass this entrance and end up at Walnut Springs Lane (the old entrance), a sign on the closed gate will direct you to go back about 1/2 mile to our current entrance.

Take Route 28 south towards Seneca Rocks for 6.7 miles.
Just past Smoke Hole Cabins, turn left on Smoke Hole Road, Route 2, and follow this road for approximately 11.5 miles.
Turn right when you see the Lodestar Mountain Inn sign.

From Elkins, WV
Arrive at Seneca Rocks after traveling 43 miles on Highway 33 E.
Turn north (left) on Highway 28 for 12.2 miles.
Turn right on Smoke Hole Road, Route 2, and follow this road for approximately 12.2 miles.
Turn right when you see the Lodestar Mountain Inn sign.
*There is a Lodestar Lane off Highway 28 between Seneca Rocks and Route 2. This road does not lead you to the Lodestar Mountain Inn.
