Choosing what comes after high school can feel like a big decision. College? Work? Ministry? Something else? What if, before rushing into the next chapter, your child could slow down, seek God, discover his or her calling, and grow into the person He is calling them to be? Join us for Gap Year at Lodestar Preview Day on Friday, October 9, at the Lodestar Mountain Inn. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. The program will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 2:00 p.m. Students and parents can experience the program firsthand, enjoy lunch, meet members of the Gap Year team, ask questions, and explore the beautiful Lodestar campus. You’ll learn what daily life is like for our students and discover how the nine-month Gap Year program combines biblical teaching, discipleship, leadership development, community, service, and opportunities to learn effective evangelism tools – all while helping students seek God’s direction for their future.

At Lodestar, we believe the year after high school can be much more than a pause between chapters. It can be a season of purposeful growth – a time to strengthen your relationship with Christ, develop character and leadership, serve others, build meaningful friendships, and gain greater clarity about God’s calling on your life. Preview Day gives you and your family the chance to experience that up close and discover whether Lodestar might be the right next step. Overnight lodging is available the night before Preview Day if needed. Additional Preview Days are also scheduled for November 13, 2026; March 5, 2027; and April 16, 2027.
