Fall Foliage Getaway Weekend

The Smoke Hole Canyon in West Virginia is the perfect location for “leaf peepers.” The steep, rugged mountains which, in autumn, transform into gorgeous shades of red, orange, and yellow, are absolutely breathtaking, reflecting in the lazy current of the South Branch River as it winds its way through the canyon. If you get excited about all of the wonderful blessings of fall, then our annual Fall Foliage Getaway Weekend, October 24-26, is the event for you! Come enjoy and embrace the masterpiece that our Lord has carefully painted with every brushstroke.

Scott and Amy Wenger and Jason Fike will serve as hosts for this event. Jason will bring the Word of God to this beautiful weekend and lead our time of reflection and love for an awesome God and amazing Creator.

Guests will begin to arrive on Friday, October 24 at 3:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:00. After dinner, Scott and Amy Wenger will share amazing stories of faith, belief, and the genesis of the Lodestar Mountain Inn and enjoy a time of fellowship with guests.

On Saturday, breakfast items will be available at 8:00 a.m. Mingle with other guests, participate in games, or simply take in the beauty of the Smoke Hole Canyon from the porch before brunch at 10:30. Throughout the afternoon, optional activities include a fall foliage hike, guided UTV tours of the property, games, fishing in the ponds, or taking a scenic drive to enjoy more of God’s artistry. The options are limitless. Guests will come together for dinner in the Ebenezer Event Center at 6:00 p.m. Be sure to bring your lawn chair to enjoy an evening relaxing around the fire pit making s’mores and visiting with other guests and staff.

We will conclude on Sunday with breakfast at 8:30 a.m., followed by a meaningful and special chapel service at 9:00, led by Jason Fike. After the service, guests will have time to rest and prepare for departure at noon.

The cost, with tax, to be a part of this retreat is $252.80 for singles and $393.60 for couples and includes lodging and meals. A supply fee of $25 will be charged to skeet shooting participants.
