Victory Weekend Veterans Retreat

Veterans and spouses, join us at the Lodestar Mountain Inn for our Victory Weekend Veterans Retreat February 23-25, 2024, for a time of rest, relaxation, and healing surrounded by others who have sacrificed so much for this country.  

Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Guests will come together in the Ebenezer Event Center at 6:00 p.m. for a warm welcome by LTC (retired) Pete Shoars, former Green Beret sergeant, Airborne Ranger, and former Walter Reed National Military Center chaplain (14 years). Following a delicious dinner, Pete will lead a fireside chat based on Psalm 91. 

On Saturday morning, Pete will present “Battle Buddies,” followed by brunch at 10:30 a.m. Throughout the afternoon, enjoy meaningful fellowship with other guests, fish in our ponds, tour the property on a UTV, hike the beautiful trails, or shoot skeet. Saturday will conclude with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and a fireside chat titled “Best and Worst About the Military.” 

On Sunday, guests will enjoy breakfast at 8:00 a.m., participate in a discussion and interactive Bible study on King David and his mighty men, and have time to pray with and for each other. A light lunch will be available following checkout at noon. 

This is a sponsored event so there is no cost to attend. We are so grateful for the generous donors who have made it possible for us to offer this Veterans Retreat at no charge to our American heroes.
