Special Event – Honoring Wayne Wingfield

Passion, service to the Lord and others, and unwavering faith were three character traits exemplified by Steve’s brother Wayne Wingfield.  Wayne’s steadfast devotion to the Lord and his drive to see people victoriously turn away from sin were inspirational to many, including Steve.  Steve and Wayne were far more than brothers – they were dear friends, partners in ministry, and obedient servants that chose to follow the Lord’s call, no matter where it would take them.

To honor Wayne’s memory and legacy, we are holding a day of service at the Lodestar Mountain Inn on Saturday, September 23 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  This day of serving our Lord through our time and talents will help prepare the Lodestar Mountain Inn for another year of ministry.  There will be projects for any skill set and level of experience, both indoor and outdoor.  Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.

Additionally, if you would like the opportunity to spend more time in this serene oasis, you can enjoy dinner and a concert by our dear friends Sam and Pam Van Horn at 6:00 p.m. for a cost of $20 per plate.  A delicious meal while relaxing and enjoying beautiful music would be an amazing way to wrap up this impactful day.
