Summer Getaway Weekend

One of the greatest blessings of living in this area of the country is that there are so many wonderful places to explore and enjoy within a day’s drive. No matter where you are in Virginia or West Virginia, you are never far from adventure. Our Summer Getaway Weekend June 21-23 provides an amazing opportunity to embrace the natural beauty which surrounds us. Not only will you get to take in the splendor of the Lodestar Mountain Inn and its peaceful serenity, but we will be taking a day trip to the stunning Blackwater Falls in Davis, West Virginia, a 57-foot cascade where the Blackwater River leaves its leisurely course in Canaan Valley and enters rugged Blackwater Canyon. Have your camera ready for this experience!

Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. on Friday followed by a delicious dinner in the Ebenezer Event Center at 6:00. Guests will have the opportunity to hear the Lodestar story and learn about the OneLife gap year program as well as enjoy social time.

On Saturday, breakfast items and coffee will be made available at 8:00 a.m. and brunch will be provided at 10:30 before departing for Blackwater Falls State Park in ministry vans. After enjoying the day at the falls, guests will have the option to take guided tours of the Lodestar property on UTVs before dinner at 6:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with a fun time of playing indoor games in the Ebenezer Event Center.

Guests will share in a time of worship and prayer on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. Through Communion, we will bring ourselves before the Lord and partake in the life He has given us through His death and resurrection.
