Christmas Getaway Weekend

Experience a real-life Norman Rockwell winter at Lodestar Mountain Inn’s annual Christmas Getaway, December 5-7. Join us as we celebrate the birth of love and remember “Emmanuel.”

Scott and Amy Wenger, event hosts, will be joined by our dear friend John Schmid, who will provide the musical backdrop for this weekend of Christmas joy.

Guests will begin arriving on Friday, December 5, at 3:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. After dinner, Scott and Amy will share amazing stories of faith, belief, and the genesis of the Lodestar Mountain Inn, followed by fellowship with guests.

On Saturday, breakfast items will be available at 8:00 a.m. Following breakfast, feel free to take in the sights and sounds of Smoke Hole Canyon, fellowship with others, or just sip on a cup of coffee or hot tea as you enjoy the crackling of the cozy fireplace. At 10:30 a.m., we will reconvene for brunch and then participate in a Lodestar Mountain Inn Christmas tradition: decorating delicious Christmas cookies baked ahead of time for you by our LMI staff! Throughout the afternoon, optional activities will include a brisk hike, guided UTV tours of the property, games, or just reminiscing about Christmases past. The options are limitless. Guests will come together for dinner in the Ebenezer Event Center at 6:00 p.m. After dinner, a Christmas concert by John Schmid will be enjoyed by all.

We will conclude on Sunday with breakfast at 8:30 a.m., followed by the singing of cherished Christmas carols and a devotional by Scott Wenger. Afterward, guests will have time to rest and prepare for departure at noon.

The retreat, including lodging and meals, costs $252.80 for singles and $393.60 for couples. A $10 per dozen supply fee applies for cookie decorating. If you cannot attend the full weekend but would like to join Saturday’s activities (cookie decorating, dinner, and concert), note this on the Registration Form. Saturday dinner and concert cost $40; an extra $10 per dozen applies for cookie decorating.
