Pastors Retreats
If you are a pastor, ministry leader, or missionary, then rest, rejuvenation, and time to breathe are rare and much-needed experiences. Join us and your peers in ministry for a mid-week retreat that will allow you to fellowship, collaborate, and pray for others who know what you face on a day-to-day basis at our Ministry Leaders Retreat April 22-24.
During this vital event, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty and wonder of the Smoke Hole Canyon as well as learn exciting, new things from our guest speakers, Brad Huddleston and Jim Hess.
Brad Huddleston is an internationally respected speaker, consultant, teacher, and author on important issues such as technology and culture. He has worked with universities, schools, churches, and law enforcement. He has spoken to hundreds of thousands worldwide on the advantages of well-used technology tools and the dangers of the growing trend toward technology addiction. Brad has an ongoing collaboration with the Bureau of Market Research (BMR)—an independent company—and its Consumer Neuroscience Division at the University of South Africa. Brad has a degree in Computer Science and a Diploma of Biblical Studies. He is a frequent guest on radio and television and the author of Digital Rehab: Learning to Live Again in the Real World, Digital Cocaine: A Journey Toward iBalance, and The Dark Side of Technology: Restoring Balance in the Digital Age. Brad also hosts the international radio show “Brad Huddleston’s Techwise.”
Jim Hess, founder of Transformation Ministries, is dedicated to assisting God’s people walking the path from mental, emotional, and spiritual brokenness to wholeness of life in Jesus Christ; helping remove the hidden blockages of the heart and mind that hinder intimacy with God; inviting God’s people to the cross in order to live a life of power before the world; and healing and maturing God’s people for wonderfully effective works of service and abundance of life in Christ. Transformation Ministries’ focus is to serve persons experiencing discouragement, defeat, or despair in their Christian walk. They seek to care for and bring healing and hope to persons with a wide range of needs from a soundly biblical, Christ-centered and Spirit-led perspective.
Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, which allows plenty of time to settle in and fellowship with other ministry leaders or to try your hand at skeet shooting before dinner in the Ebenezer Event Center at 6:00. After dinner, we will begin our group sessions and have meaningful discussions on topics such as “Digital Cocaine,” “Technology and Faith,” “Generational Curses and Spiritual Blessings,” and “Passivity and the Slumbering Spirit.”
Breakfast will be served at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Following our morning meal, we will refill our coffee and start with our next sessions. We will join together for lunch at noon, and guests will have free time in the afternoon to hike our trails, fish in our ponds, take guided UTV tours of the property, or to simply rest and relax. We will reconvene for dinner at 6:00 p.m. and conclude this remarkable day with another informative and inspirational session.
After breakfast on Thursday morning, we will enjoy our final sessions together. Check out is at 12:00 p.m. followed by an optional, light lunch.
The cost with tax to be a part of this informative mid-week retreat is $252.80 per individual or $393.60 per couple. A supply fee of $25 will be collected for skeet shooting participants. Click here to register before the April 16 deadline. For questions, please call (540) 466-4204.
