(January 2, 2020) On the morning of Monday, December 2, I received a phone call that I may remember for the rest of my life.  I can still hear the words, “The barn is down,” on the other end of the receiver.  The day before Thanksgiving, a huge windstorm blew through Smoke Hole, West Virginia, with winds recorded at 70 miles per hour.  With it fell our upcoming Event Center, the frame being a total loss.  It was a sad yet rejoiceful day as we thanked God for meeting the need He already knew we would have.

As we stand in our faith in God, another barn has been found for our Event Center.  The barn will be disassembled soon and, prayerfully, the Event Center erected by the end of January.  Praise be to God!

I urge you to continue in prayer with us over the construction of the Lodestar Mountain Inn.  Much is still needed, including construction material, furnishings, equipment, and funding.  If you are able to assist with your time or material, please call our office at (800) 729-2239.
